JOB SUMMARY 

The Finance Officer is responsible for managing financial activities within the company. This includes accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, analyzing financial data, managing cash flow, and ensuring compliance with all financial regulations. The finance officer will collaborate with various departments within the organization to optimize financial processes and drive financial performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements on a regular basis.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making by management
• Develop and maintain budgets for different departments and monitor actual performance against budgeted targets.
• Assist in the preparation of annual financial forecasts and participate in strategic planning processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, budgets, forecasts, and other financial analysis.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper documentation and recording of financial transactions.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable functions, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time.
• Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
• Monitor cash flow regularly to ensure sufficient funds are available for day-to-day operations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable financial laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and prepare audit schedules as required.
• Developing finance policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Providing financial guidance to other departments to support their operational needs

• Supervise and provide leadership to the finance team, including training, coaching, and performance management

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (Master's degree or professional certification is a plus).
• Proven experience (2- 3 years) as a finance officer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in using financial management software applications (e.g., Quickbooks, Odoo).
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing financial documents/reports
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team
• Familiarity with relevant laws/regulations governing finance operations (tax regulations, social security).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis
