The program intervenes to address the pressing challenges faced by youth, with a focus on empowering participants across various industries. Additionally, a group of youth, will be given chance to benefit from the internship. The ultimate goal is to equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the ever-evolving job market. The program’s efforts extend beyond training alone. It is also necessary to recognize the entrepreneurial potential within the participant group and tailor specialized entrepreneurship training. In line with its profound commitment to environmental sustainability, the program has introduced an innovative “Cash for Work” component. This initiative will involve skilled individuals in planting trees.

Through these strategically crafted programs, the program aspires to bridge the existing skills gap while empowering the youth to chart their paths to success. The intended outcome is a community where the combined forces of education and entrepreneurship drive growth and environmental stewardship. Together, they embark on a journey towards a brighter, more sustainable future for all.      


Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Program Coordinator, the Project Officer shall perform the following tasks:

 

  • Assist the project coordinator in supervising the team in relevant governorate.
  • Act as an integral part of the department/office by contributing ideas and initiatives.
  • Conduct field assessments and surveys as well as collect and analyses data to assist in project designing.
  • Participating in preparing detailed work-plans and budget breakdowns for the phases of the project.
  • Ensure that coordination between various project teams and with other sections are well maintained.
  • Act as a strong team by cultivating relationships between units and assisting individual team members for the success of the entire project;
  • Follow up projects progress, monitor and assess projects implementation, and prepare regular and ad hoc reports,
  • Maintain documentation of the project phases and ensure that all documents are archived in orderly manner,
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Coordinator, and Director of Programs

Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent communication and report skills in Kurdish, Arabic (must) and English.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrate good communication skills mainly in English and Kurdish; Arabic is a plus
  • Demonstrate good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and project management tools
  • Attention to details, multitasking skills, and working under pressure
  • Commitment to high professional ethical and confidentiality standards in a diverse workplace

Reporting & Monitoring

  • Conducting assessments, information gathering, analyzing data and preparing comprehensive reports about office activities supported by presentations if required
  • Maintain, file and organize documentations related to the project
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Provide ad hoc andregular reports includingprogress, monitoring, analysisand recommendations on a regular basis to the direct supervisor

  • Flexible to attend meetings, conventions, trainings, and workshops outside duty station
  • Able to travel within the country and overseas
